It's a few more days until the iPhone comes out. To get it or not to get it -- it's a dilemma that I've been having for awhile now. I totally don't need this phone, yet I want one so bad. When it first came out I wasn't that excited. My Treo 750w can do everything the iPhone can, but it doesn't have EVDO. I don't know how much of a deal breaker this is because I don't know whether I can just survive on the iPhone's crappy network. And it's not like I do stream video & audio a lot on the Treo. Mainly I just browse txt based sites. So maybe the iPhone is good eno
ugh for this?
Damn this is so confusing.
One of the main reasons I want this is I'm sick of using a Windows phone with my Mac. It's ricockulous. Even with software that syncs with the Mac, it's a pain in the ass. Totally not worth the hassle. Now this iPhone will sync seamlessly with my MacBook & PowerMac. It will be pure bliss. The only thing I have to decide is whether to sync with my work mac, personal MacBook or personal PowerMac. I'm fortune to have so many to decide between. I'll most likely end up syncing with my work Mac since it's the computer I'm using 90% of my time.
Jeez, I'm already typing like I'm getting one. I so don't need one, but it's calling me, like some God. The Jesus Phone? Totally.
One thing I am doing to try and justify the getting one is selling off some of my old electronics. I have so much crap it's ridiculous. I put it all on eBay this morning, using a great software called GarageSale. Use this software. It makes posting so painless -- and it looks purty!
Fortunately I'll be on a plane to Chicago when the iPhone goes on sale Friday night. Tho part of me is very worried that the Apple Stores will run out when I try to get one on Saturday -- if I do.
Yeah right, I'm sick. I'm totally going to make the plunge.
When will my gadget madness every end?
I now believe Tony Soprano died during the finale. Read this article for more info. Also, here's something I made today: A Guide To The Stupidest "Sopranos" Alternate Ending Videos Ever.
I'm driving from LA to Malibu...come with me? This is live.
"Only the truly clever will avoid unnecessary reinvention at all costs to the point that, to the lay observer, this individual may seem like a downright lazy corner-cutter. Instead, cleverness is a honed skill that takes time, dedication and above all, a commitment to cultivate an appreciation for not only doing the least amount of work possible, but also the ability to pick the least amount of work possible that will also afford the most leverage in actually solving the problem." - FACTORY JOE
I just posted this on Mahalo.com
In an EW.com interview with David Chase, David said that there is no closure in life.
Tony lived his life with paranoia. He has to watch everyone...be weary of everyone. Be ready to pull his gun out at any moment. A good leader is like that, always ready to go go go. And that's the way this ended...Tony...on the edge...always ready to make a move.
From Jeffery Sass on Mahalo.com
In the end, the stroke of genius is that EVERYONE will be talking about this now -- the fact that it ended status quo. Any other ending, with Tony or his family members getting whacked, was somewhat expected and would have been "accepted" by us all, allowing us to move on to "John From Cincinnati" or whatever. Now the SOPRANOS will continue to be the talk of the town... and maybe go on in TV history as perhaps the weirdest, albeit most provocative, Series finale...
